Marcel Wanders Vase
Marcel Wanders designed this special Moooi Vase in 1997. One of the first things you learn in life is playing. Playing with clay, making something and breaking it again, always learning to create something new.
Not Marcel Wanders. He has been able to translate his playful, creative qualities into an infinite number of beautiful designs, all created by continuing to use his imagination. For the this Vase S, he had the bizarre idea of making a porcelain "something" in the soft, round lines of a stack of eggs. But what did it have to be and how could he achieve it? He boiled a pile of eggs, put them in a rubber condom and used it as a mold for his porcelain vase!
Made of white porcelain and has a glazed interior and an unglazed exterior, which gives a special effect.
